A minute and a half of patterns with no numbers or words.
Also known as: find the missing piece, missing part of the pattern, which piece fits
A pattern of triangles repeats or is mirrored, and one piece is missing. Find the rule and choose the piece that goes in the “?” spot. You can play 10 minutes a day without signing up.

You can’t complete the pattern by guessing: you need to understand how it’s built, whether it repeats, is mirrored or rotates. The wrong options differ by a small detail: one triangle, a reflection or a rotation.
In your account the trainer has the same name: “Missing Piece”. Once you sign up, you see your score, correct answers, mistakes and level.
Repetition, reflection or rotation.
You need to mirror or rotate the piece in your mind.
A wrong option can differ by just one triangle.
The right piece has to match the pattern on every side.
Press “Start”. A pattern appears with an empty “?” spot and four options below it.
Above the pattern it says how it’s built: it repeats, it’s mirrored, or it repeats with a rotation.
Tap the piece that fills the empty spot. On a computer you can pick the options with the keys 1–4.
Three correct answers in a row move you up a level: first one cell is missing, then a 2×2 square, and then the pattern becomes mirrored and rotated. A mistake moves you down a level.
A correct answer earns as many points as your current level; a mistake costs one point. After a minute and a half you’ll see your results.
Choose the piece that fills the gap in the pattern. Without signing up you get 10 minutes of play a day.
Missing Piece
A piece of the pattern is missing. The pattern repeats, mirrors or rotates: find the rule and pick the piece for the “?” spot.

Missing-piece tasks are common in logic tests. Here the patterns follow one of three rules: repetition, mirror symmetry or a quarter-turn rotation, and the rule always gives exactly one correct answer.
If you like finding patterns, try Patterns. Shape Rotation trains mental rotation on its own.

Suitable from age 6: for kids there are only repeating patterns, with no mirrors or rotations.
A calm pace: there’s no time limit on each answer, just one timer for the whole round.
